Characteristics of Two-component Road Marking Paint

Road markings have an important role in ensuring road safety, traffic order, and good appearance. Especially in the mountain highways, the reflective markings are crucial for road communication during nights.

Two-component road marking paint is based on methyl methacrylate resin system. It has excellent anti-slide property, high wear resistance, long marking life, and good reflective effect in nights with solvent-free formulation.

Wear resistance

Two components polymerizes and forms a reticular molecular structure. Each component of the paint became a part of the compacted entirety, in other words, the reticular molecular structure makes the paint high polymer material. High polymer materials don’t just have superior adhesion on asphalt roads, but also on the cement roads, stone roads, tile floor, even the glass surfaces.

Weathering resistance

Two-component road marking paint seldom causes low-temperature fracture or high-temperature softening, and it almost has no aging process due to its extra large molecule structure after polymerization reaction. The new molecules have no active molecules bond. The thickness of the marking may be 0.4 ~ 3.0mm, it can be adjusted according to the road condition and traffic volume.

Light reflect characteristics

Reflective glass beads can slightly submerge into the marking paint to achieve the best reflection effect. The glass beads get connected closely to the marking paint under the chemical reactions, becoming a whole unit that is hard to tear apart. In addition, since the surface of the two-component road marking paint is irregular and rough, the glass beads can reach the best reflective effect

Environmental protection

Two-component road marking paint contains no flux, and the mesh structure generated by chemical reactions is strong and tough, also environmentally friendly. A normal temperature execution condition greatly reduces the energy cost and air pollution.
