It is world's first luminous bike lanes throughout the Netherlands North Brabant, where the famous artist Vincent Van Gogh was born and lived. This luminous road painted with rotating stars, and the inspiration is derived from Van Gogh's famous painting "Starry Night."
This luminous path is designed by Dutch innovators designer Daan Roosegaarde, who also committed to improving the coating technology, making paint brighter, more color choices and reducing urban light pollution. Daan Roosegaarde has greater goals to make road coatings dynamic and intelligent.
As smart highways, paint of this star trail applied cobbles-shaped light-emitting materials, absorbs light continuously during the day, and then releases it for up to eight hours overnight. It is just these 50000 glowing "stones" that paved the rotation of stars on the ground extending. Riding on the road glowing feels very magical, like living in a fairy tale world, as flying in the bright sky.
